Volunteers

Our volunteers are integral to our health service and provide invaluable support to our patients, their families, visitors and staff. Every skill and ability, large or small can help improve someone’s life.

Their kind smiles, helping hands and generous hearts are a powerful means of helping our patients get well.  Volunteers spread the spirit of caring and concern as they help people navigate their journey through our hospital. The volunteers at Caboolture Hospital provide a valuable service through various groups.

St John Ambulance Community Services Volunteers

These health care program volunteers greet the general public in the front foyer of the Hospital each day, support patients and visitors in the Emergency Department and provide the Cosmetic Care Service (a therapeutic diversional activity for longer term patients).

Caboolture Hospital Auxiliary Volunteers

The Auxiliary raises funds to support patient care. Volunteers operate the canteen at the hospital with all funds raised from these activities used to purchase lifesaving equipment. If you are interested in volunteering in the canteen please contact (07) 5433 8636.

Chaplaincy Service Volunteers

Our chaplains, regardless of your religious beliefs are always available for a quiet chat and to offer comfort and support to you while you’re in hospital. Caboolture Hospital has a beautiful chapel which provides a quiet place for all patients, visitors and people from all religions. You are welcome to visit anytime.

The Healthy Heart Group Volunteers

Healthy Heart Group volunteers provide an invaluable service for patients who have suffered a heart event and offer support and assistance to patients and families. These volunteers are affiliated with Heart Support Australia.
