Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment<\/h1><\/div>About the project<\/h2>\n
By 2031, the population of Caboolture and surrounds is expected to grow by 51%. With all the extra people to care for, and with our hospital already near or at capacity most days, Caboolture Hospital must grow, too.<\/p>\n
The Queensland Government has committed $352.9 million to deliver 130 new beds and significantly expand services at Caboolture Hospital.<\/p>\n
Over the next four years, Caboolture Hospital will undergo a significant expansion and redevelopment.<\/p>\n
The Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment will include the construction of a five storey Clinical Services Building and a targeted refurbishment of existing spaces.<\/p>\n
A larger hospital requires more car parking and $41.7M has also been provided to deliver a new multi-story carpark.<\/p>\n
The design of the new clinical services building is expected to be completed in mid-2020 with construction expected to start in mid-2020 and take up to three years to complete.<\/p>\n
The new building and car park will be built at the front of the hospital, between the existing hospital and McKean Street.<\/p>\n<\/div>

The Caboolture Hospital Redevelopment is a complex mix of new build and a refurbishment of the existing facility and covers a total gross floor area of approximately 32,000sqm.<\/p>\n
New five storey Clinical Services Building<\/h3>\n\n- New and expanded Emergency Department<\/li>\n
- 20-bed rehabilitation unit<\/li>\n
- 10-bed palliative care unit<\/li>\n
- 14-bed geriatric evaluation and management unit<\/li>\n
- 32-bed medical ward<\/li>\n
- 10-bed Intensive Care Unit<\/li>\n
- 2 additional operating theatres and 4 stage one recovery spaces<\/li>\n
- 8-bed Cardiac Care Unit<\/li>\n
- 4-bed Chest Pain Assessment Unit and 16-bed medical ward<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Targeted refurbishment within existing hospital<\/h3>\n\n- Enhanced and expanded special care nursery with 15 bays<\/li>\n
- Medical day stay unit<\/li>\n
- Upgraded and expanded morgue<\/li>\n
- Expanded medical records facility, pharmacy and pathology<\/li>\n
- New main entry, caf\u00e9 and visitor lounge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Multi-storey carpark<\/h3>\n\n- Will provide approximately 1,080 spaces in a mix of multi-story and at-grade facilities.<\/li>\n
- Combined with other car spaces around the site, there will be a total of approx. 1640 spaces.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>
