Visitor information<\/h1><\/div>

We welcome family and friends of patients who wish to visit. The main entrance and the Emergency Department entrance are both off Kropp Street and the hospital car park. Additional parking is available on the street.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Visiting hours and wards<\/h2>\n

Visiting hours are between daily 10.00am and 8.00pm.\u00a0We do request a rest period for visitors between 1.00-3.00pm.<\/p>\n

If you need to visit or stay outside of these hours, or if a patient needs or wants extra rest time, please speak with the Nurse Unit Manager who will help find a solution that is in the best interest of each patient. \u00a0As a visitor, we ask you to always remember to keep noise to a minimum. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Toilets<\/h2>\n

Toilets and disabled toilets are available. Please ask our staff for directions.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Bringing food for patients<\/h2>\n

We understand some patients prefer their own food. Please note we do not take responsibility for food that is brought in by visitors for patients. A fridge is available near the ward to store food. We ask visitors who wish to bring food for patients to choose low risk food and check with staff before giving it to their friend\/relative. Due to their health condition, some patients may become very unwell if they eat the wrong food at the wrong time.<\/p>\n

A coffee machine and soft drink vending machine are available for visitors and patients.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Your appointment (outpatients)<\/h2>\n

Your outpatient appointment<\/a> is to see a specialist or clinician about your condition without being admitted into hospital.\u00a0You may have an outpatient appointment before and\/or after your admission to hospital.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Appropriate behaviour<\/h2>\n

We are committed to protecting the safety and wellbeing of our patients, visitors and staff. We promote a safe and comfortable environment where everyone is treated with respect and dignity.<\/p>\n

We remind everyone that Queensland Health has a policy of zero tolerance to violence.\u00a0 The following inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated:<\/p>\n
