Attendees are encouraged to come as a group or pair from their facility.<\/li>\n<li>Maximum 20 delegates<\/li>\n<li>3.5hr workshop &#8211; 8.00am\u201311.30am (morning tea provided)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Key focus areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Using simulation as a tool for culture change and improving multi-team systems<\/li>\n<li>An update on &#8216;team science&#8217; and how to apply to trauma care<\/li>\n<li>Using short clinical debriefs and mental rehearsal strategies for teams<\/li>\n<li>Cases studies from trauma systems and high performance around the world<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Moulage Workshop<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Facilitate by Clare Scott \u2013 Simulation Educator, Nursing\/Midwifery Education and Research Unit, Gold Coast University Hospital.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Teaches you how to create your own schkin, scars, rashes\/Lups, graces\/gravel rash, create first, second and third degree burns, bruises, bone fractures, lacerations, blood clots and impaled objects.<\/li>\n<li>Provides take home basic Moulage kit containing schkin to mould wounds, 1 FX Bruise Wheel, 1 FX Death Wheel, 1 FX Burns wheel, 1 white base grease paint, charcoal, Rigid collodian, 1 Mehron fake blood, 1 bottle of splatter blood, 1 Latex pot, gelatin blood, gelatin Blister, gelatin skin, rubber glass , paint brushes, stipple sponge and Tongue depressor\/toothpicks<\/li>\n<li>Maximum 12 participants<\/li>\n<li>8.00am-11.30am (morning tea provided)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Friday 23 February 2018<\/h2>\n<h3>QLD Trauma Symposium<\/h3>\n<p>The Symposium will consist of keynote lectures, feature presentations and two concurrent streams that will include\u00a0\u00a0a combination of presentations\/panel discussions and debates concerning real situations confronted by those who care for trauma patients.
