Community Care Unit

Pine Rivers Community Care Unit is a community-based facility housing up to 20 residents. We help residents develop life skills that will assist them to successfully return to living in the community.

Our services

Our staff are available 24 hours a day and work with residents to support them to learn or relearn life skills,  such as:

• personal care
• cooking
• budgeting
• medication management.

Community care teams will include nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, recovery support workers and psychiatrists.

How long can I expect to stay in the community care unit?

The length of time you will stay in the service will depend on your individual needs.

How to access this service

To access this service, you will need a referral from a mental health service.  Admission to the unit depends on bed availability. If you are considered for the unit but there isn’t a bed available, you will be placed on a waiting list. If there are beds available, we will contact you to arrange a suitable admission time.
