Accommodation and travel<\/h2>\n

If you live in a rural or remote area and need to travel more than 50km for specialist medical services that are not available locally, you may be eligible for the Patient Travel Subsidy Scheme (PTSS)<\/a> to help with your travel and accommodation costs.<\/p>\n

There are a number of hotels and motels located in the local area. If you require further information, hotel and motel brochures are available from the main reception desk in the foyer of the hospital or ask at the reception desk in the ward areas.<\/p>\n

The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander hospital service<\/a> supports and advocates for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and their support persons through their hospital journey to, during and after hospital. We work with patients and families to make sure the appropriate care and support is given.<\/p>\n
