Indigenous Sexual Health

The Indigenous Sexual Health Services provide culturally appropriate support, education and prevention services to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities on sexual health issues, including:

  • treatment access
  • education
  • prevention
  • transport and client support for specialised medical appointments
  • service referrals
  • community engagement
  • condom distribution
  • health promotion, focused around sexually transmitted infections (STI) and blood borne viruses (BBV)
  • men’s and women’s business
  • men’s and women’s reproductive health
  • cultural supports
  • home visits
  • contact tracing.
