Appointments still available under Child Dental Benefits Schedule

Oral healthThe Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) will remain open past the previously advised cut-off date of 30 June, 2016.

While the Government has announced a new national Child and Adult Public Dental Scheme to replace the CDBS, the commencement of the new program has been delayed due to the federal election.

Families and children using the Metro North Oral Health Service can continue to use their CDBS entitlements with access now extended until 31 December 2016.

Andrew McAuliffe, Executive Director Metro North Oral Health  said eligible children can access a range of high-quality, free services under the CDBS including examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fillings and extractions.

“Parents and guardians can continue to make appointments with our qualified dentists, dental therapists and oral health therapists and receive a full course of oral health care absolutely free,” he said.

To make an appointment, call 1300 300 850.
