RBWH making strides with 3D-printed bones

Did you know the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital is the first in Queensland with a full-time medical modeller recreating shattered bones using a 3D printer?

Modeller Nick Green and orthopaedic surgeon Dr Tetsworth gave Channel 7 News an exclusive look at how we are using cutting edge technology to produce an exact replica of a patient’s injury to help guide difficult surgery. It means surgeons can work faster and patients recover more quickly from traumatic injuries.
