We have a range of employment opportunities for hospital pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and assistants in clinical or management roles. Opportunities are also available to work in an interdisciplinary team to support patient services and provide medication advice to our medical and nursing staff.

Pharmacy residency program
Are you a recent pharmacy graduate looking for hospital-based training?
We have recently gained accreditation to provide a pharmacy residency program with the Society of Hospital Pharmacists of Australia for newly registered pharmacists. There are 16 pharmacists enrolled in the 2 year residency program this year. Our next program starts in February 2018. Positions will be advertised on Smart Jobs.
Requirements to practice
Pharmacists must be registered with the Pharmacy Board of Australia to practice in Australia. Graduates of an approved program of study are required to complete a period of supervised practice to be eligible for general registration.
Pre-employment requirements
- Mandatory vaccinations
- Criminal history check
- Other pre-employment checks including working with children

Internationally qualified pharmacists
Pharmacists from countries other than Australia and New Zealand are required to pass the Australian Pharmacy Council examinations and complete a period of supervised practice in order to be eligible for general registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
