Named for Dr Kenneth Jamieson, Jamieson Trauma Institute is re-conceptualising how trauma services are delivered.

Representing a unique but essential collaboration of service partners to improve clinical care, drive advancements and uniform standards in the advancement of trauma prevention, research, systems and clinical management; the Institute brings together a unique and integrated group of services. These include trauma, intensive care, burns, rehab and military medicine, through to data analytics, science and research.

At its core are the fundamental tenants of collaboration and partnership. The Institute is built on partnerships with other trauma services and the statewide network, health services, government and industry to who share our vision to advance trauma care.

With Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital (RBWH) internationally recognised as a leading trauma and burns hospital, strongly tied to the Australian Defence Force and boasting extensive research and education capacity; RBWH is a perfect fit for a institute dedicated to furthering trauma research and outcomes.
