What is cancer?
Cancer is a disease of the cells. Your body normally makes new cells to help you grow, replace worn-out tissue and heal injuries. When cells don’t grow, divide and die in the usual way they can lead to tumours, either benign (not cancer) or malignant.

BreastScreen Queensland provide free breast cancer screening for all eligible Queensland women.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander support
We have resources for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, including videos and information on help if you, a family member or a community member are coming to Brisbane for treatment.
