Communicable Disease Control

The Communicable Disease Control team is responsible for prevention and control of notifiable conditions within the Metro North Hospital and Health Service area.

The team consists of Public Health Physicians and Public Health Nurses, who work closely with the Environmental Health, Epidemiology and Medical Entomology teams.

Immunisation

The Metro North Public Health Unit coordinates and supports the implementation of the National Immunisation Program for Queensland within the Metro North Hospital and Health Service.

Sexual Health

The Metro North Public Health Unit has a key role in linking the many community-based organisations, care providers and education providers involved in sexual health.
