PGY3
We currently offer dedicated SHO positions in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics/Intensive Care, Paediatrics and General Medicine. These positions are there to assist in the readiness for when PGY3 step up into their chosen career pathway as PHOs. Medical Workforce will touch base with you during your PGY2 with regards to these positions however you are welcome to contact Medical Workforce at any time for further information on these positions.
Education
PGY2
- Weekly medical education programs for interns, junior doctors, registrars and consultants linked to your continued professional development.
- Skills Development Centre on-site.
- A strong educational and training ethos.
- Weekly Junior Doctor Professional Development Program—a program that runs over 2 years, delivering PGY2 and PGY3 level education.
- Weekly grand rounds (accredited with RACGP and ACEM for CPD points).
Requirements
We recruit Junior House Officers and Senior House Officers using a merit-based selection process which includes assessment of:
- your curriculum vitae via an online application
- two referee reports
- interview.

Employment conditions
- Award conditions apply – 76 working hours per fortnight with a minimum of ten hours’ time off between shifts.
- 5 weeks annual leave for Interns, Junior House Officers (JHOs) and Senior House Officers (SHOs)
- 1 week of professional development leave for JHOs/SHOs
- Salary packaging option.
